Description
Celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States of America with a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience. Spend the 4th of July exploring the Alamo before a private, after-hours VIP tour with Ernesto Rodriguez III, the Senior Curator, Historian, and Lecturer at the Alamo. Then attend an exclusive bourbon tasting before watching the city’s fireworks display and drone light show. Unwind during a two-night stay in a luxurious King Suite at San Antonio Marriott Rivercenter on the River Walk.
Ernesto Rodriguez III is a San Antonio native who has devoted more than 25 years of historical research to the Alamo, a United States National Historic Landmark and part of the Lone Star State’s only UNESCO World Heritage Site. His work has been featured in news outlets ranging from Texas Monthly magazine to ABC News’ Good Morning America.
Celebrate Independence Day at the Alamo with a variety of demonstrations and programs from 09:00–15:00. Topics will include 1700s Spanish Colonial soldiers, weaving and Mission life, weapons, leatherwork, artillery, and black-powder firing demonstrations. Interactive activities will include period games, kids’ drill, making corn husk or yarn dolls, and more. Guests will also be able to sign a giant Declaration of Independence.
After your private VIP tour of the Alamo, attend an exclusive bourbon tasting led by our award-winning culinary team. These one-of-a-kind bottles are exclusive to our restaurant, Tributary, and will bring fireworks to your palette. Then enjoy the city’s historic fireworks display and drone light show and unwind in style in your King Suite.
