How Wyndham Rewards Experiences auctions work

Wyndham Rewards Experiences (wyndhamrewardsexperiences.wyndhamrewards.com) launched in expanded form in May 2025 and runs two buckets: a large fixed-price Redeem Now pool - Minor League Baseball tickets, New York Rangers games, Radio City shows - and a steady stream of points auctions for the marquee experiences, from Madison Square Garden suites to a playing spot in the PGA Tour's Wyndham Championship pro-am. Per Wyndham, auction starting bids range from 20,000 to 100,000 points.

Auctions use confidential proxy bidding: enter a maximum and Wyndham bids in increments on your behalf, only as high as needed. Points are not held while you bid - they are deducted automatically only if you win, and a win is binding with no confirm-or-decline step. Some auctions run short (about 24 hours in third-party reports), and Wyndham's documentation does not confirm a soft-close extension, so get your true maximum in early rather than counting on extra time.

Wyndham has the lowest bidding competition of any program PointAuctions.com tracks - most lots are decided by a small handful of bids. We track every live Experiences listing, both formats, and keep a closing-price archive in which most Wyndham figures are winning bids verified after close.

Wyndham Rewards Experiences auction FAQs

How do Wyndham Rewards Experiences auctions work?

Each auction is a single package, and the highest bid in Wyndham Rewards points at close wins. You can enter a confidential maximum and let Wyndham's proxy system bid in increments on your behalf. Points are only deducted if you win, and the winner's points are pulled automatically when the auction ends, so treat your maximum as binding.

How much do Wyndham Rewards auctions usually go for?

Competition is the lowest we track, so lots frequently close within a few bids of their starting level. Most figures in our Wyndham archive are winning bids verified after close - check the results data on this page for the real spread, and calibrate to the typical range rather than the occasional festival or motorsport outlier.

Which credit cards transfer to Wyndham Rewards?

Chase Ultimate Rewards, Citi ThankYou Points, Capital One Miles, and Bilt Rewards all transfer to Wyndham at 1:1, and Wells Fargo Rewards transfers at 1:2. That is one of the broadest transfer lineups of any hotel program we track.

Are my points held while I bid on Wyndham?

No. Per Wyndham's FAQ, points are only deducted for winning bids, so your balance stays intact while you bid. You should still have the points in your account before bidding rather than counting on buying points at the last minute, because a win is binding and deducted automatically.

Is there a soft-close extension on Wyndham auctions?

Wyndham's own documentation does not confirm one, and we have not verified it independently. Assume there may be no extension: place your true maximum before the final minutes instead of planning a late bid.
