Rolling Stone's Cherry Lane Residency: Tickets for Miles

The Rolling Stone Residency is a six-night series of live interviews and stripped-down performances that Rolling Stone (the magazine, not the band) is staging across 2026 at the historic Cherry Lane Theatre in New York's West Village. Delta presents the series, and the realistic way in for most people is miles: Delta auctions two-ticket packages for each show through SkyMiles Experiences, and we have tracked four rounds of those auctions on PointAuctions.com.

The closed rounds have ranged from 34,000 SkyMiles (a July auction, last seen) to 501,000 SkyMiles (a June auction, last seen), and the October 10 auctions are the first with verified winning bids: 96,000 and 85,000 SkyMiles. A fourth round, for the October 21, 2026 show, opened on October 8 and was set to close on October 13, 2026.

What the Rolling Stone Residency is

Each night pairs a live Rolling Stone Interview (a 30-minute on-stage conversation hosted by a Rolling Stone editor) with a stripped-down set from the same artist. The venue is the point: Cherry Lane is a small West Village house, and the series brings in artists who normally fill far bigger rooms.

Sara Bareilles opened the series on June 11, 2026, and J Balvin took the July 9 night. Delta's third round was for the Saturday, October 10, 2026 show, and its fourth is for Wednesday, October 21, 2026. Delta's listings describe six nights across 2026, and the artist for each night is announced on Delta's and Rolling Stone's pages rather than in the auction title, so check every Cherry Lane package we track for the next date rather than relying on an older announced calendar. How the Delta auctions have worked

All four rounds we tracked followed the same playbook:

• Auctions opened 13 to 22 days before each show and closed 7 to 9 days before it. The June 11 auctions ran May 21 to June 4; the July 9 auctions ran June 19 to July 2; the October 10 auctions ran September 18 to October 1; the October 21 auctions opened October 8, only 13 days before the show, and were set to close October 13.
• Each round had two separate auctions of two tickets apiece, identically titled. They are separate packages with separate winners: you bid on one pair, not both. In June, October 10 and October 21 the two were set to close five minutes apart; in July they shared a close time.
• The package covers two tickets, seats for the interview and performance, and limited-edition merch. Guests must be 21 or older. Delta limits each member to one package of two tickets per event. No meet-and-greet is included, and the package cannot be transferred to another event, exchanged for credit, or resold.
• Check eligibility on each listing. Delta's auction page for the October 21 round carries a promo-code line (it also appears on the closed October 10 auctions), and the Card Member page lists a sold-out dinner-and-tickets package for that night, so check the eligibility line on the listing before you plan a bid.

Mechanics are standard SkyMiles Experiences. Each listing states its own bid increment (the October 21 auctions move in 1,000-mile steps), proxy bidding runs up to your maximum, a bid in the final five minutes extends the auction five minutes from that bid, and bids are final once placed. Miles are redeemed only if you win, and a win carries deadlines: for the October 21 show, winners must confirm acceptance by October 14, 2026 and return guest waivers by October 16, 2026, and a missed waiver forfeits the package with no miles refund. What the Cherry Lane auctions reached

Two kinds of number appear below, and they mean different things. Delta publishes no results, but since August 20, 2026 we can confirm the top bid at close on Delta auctions from Delta's own soft-close rule (the method is in how we verify closing prices). So the October 10 round carries verified winning bids ("sold for"). The June and July rounds closed before that, so their figures are the last bid we saw before close ("closed at"), and a contested auction could have climbed after our last look.

• June 11, 2026, Sara Bareilles: closed at 501,000 and 335,000 SkyMiles, last observed, on 85 bids apiece. Only 33 of the 389 Delta closes with bids in our archive reached 85 or more bids, about 1 in 12, and the average Delta auction drew about 39 (as of October 9, 2026).
• July 9, 2026, J Balvin: closed at 38,000 and 34,000 SkyMiles, last observed, on 17 and 13 bids.
• October 10, 2026: sold for 96,000 and 85,000 SkyMiles, verified winning bids, on 36 and 20 bids.

Same theater, same package, very different results. The June pair closed at more than eight times the July pair, and October's verified sales landed between the two. In these three closed rounds, the pair with more bids finished higher, but three rounds is a small sample, so read it as one signal rather than a rule. The October 21 round

Delta opened two auctions for the Wednesday, October 21, 2026 show on October 8, set to close on Tuesday, October 13, 2026 at 3:00 and 3:05 p.m. ET (a late bid could extend either one). As of October 9, 2026 the top bids stood at 165,000 and 201,000 SkyMiles, on 10 and 14 bids. Those were bids in progress, not results; the round's outcome goes into the archive with the right price label after it closes.

If you bid on a remaining night

Three takeaways from the rounds so far:

1. Set your ceiling before you know the artist. Base it on the package and the comparable closes above, and keep a margin: the June and July pairs ended more than eight times apart.
2. Do not count on a fixed-price package. Delta listed 20,000-mile fixed-price packages for the July and October 10 shows, but the July ones were gone from Delta's site within hours of appearing (we cannot tell whether they sold out or were pulled). For the October 21 show, Delta's Card Member page showed its dinner-and-tickets package as sold out when we checked on October 9, 2026.
3. Let the proxy bid work for you. A last-second bid just resets the soft-close clock; enter a true maximum and walk away.

Sometimes, through a fixed-price package. Delta listed 20,000-mile fixed-price packages for the July 9 and October 10 shows, but the July ones disappeared from Delta's site within hours, and the October 21 dinner-and-tickets package showed as sold out on October 9, 2026. Some packages are also limited to Delta SkyMiles American Express Card Members, so the auctions remain the more dependable route for most SkyMiles members.
