How IHG One Rewards auctions work

IHG One Rewards runs its experience marketplace at auctions.ihg.com, on the same iSynApp auction engine that powers the Hilton, Delta, and Wyndham storefronts. It offers a genuinely even mix of formats: Bid Now auctions where members compete in IHG One Rewards points, and Redeem Now fixed-price lots claimed outright. Inventory leans toward sports and event hospitality, including recurring rugby and marquee-event packages.

On the auction side, the highest bid in points when the clock runs out wins the lot. Some IHG auctions post as Opening Soon before bidding is enabled, so a listing without a countdown is usually a lot that has not opened yet rather than an error. As with the sibling platforms, decide your ceiling before you bid rather than reacting in the final minutes.

PointAuctions.com tracks every live IHG listing - both formats - in one place and archives where bidding stood at each close. IHG's platform does not let us verify winning bids after an auction ends, so IHG closing prices in our archive are last-observed bids: where bidding stood when the auction closed, not program-confirmed finals.

IHG One Rewards auction FAQs

How do IHG One Rewards auctions work?

You bid IHG One Rewards points against other members on IHG's auction site, and the highest bid when the auction closes wins. IHG runs auctions alongside fixed-price Redeem Now lots on the same storefront, so check which format you are looking at before planning a bid.

What is the difference between Redeem Now and Bid Now on IHG?

Redeem Now lots have a set points price and are claimed instantly, first-come, first-served - no competition beyond speed. Bid Now lots are auctions where members bid points against each other until the close. The strategy is completely different: one is a yes-or-no decision at a known cost, the other needs a maximum you decide in advance.

How much do IHG One Rewards auctions usually go for?

IHG hides auction outcomes after close, so no post-auction verification is possible - every IHG figure in our archive is the last bid we observed when the auction ended, a floor rather than a confirmed final. The results data on this page shows where bidding stood across the IHG closes we have tracked.

Which credit cards transfer to IHG One Rewards?

Chase Ultimate Rewards and Bilt Rewards both transfer to IHG One Rewards at 1:1. Those are the two direct routes from flexible bank points into an IHG auction balance.
