Blue Journeys, Marine Experience Center Across the Equator to a World of Giants Embark on a breathtaking full-day expedition to Fuvahmulah, one of the planet’s most remote and thrilling dive destinations. Located just south of the equator, this isolated atoll offers a diving experience unlike any other—raw, wild, and full of surprises. As we cross the equator by boat, conditions and serene — perfect for spotting pods of dolphins dancing through the waves, and occasionally, whales gliding alongside us. The journey itself is magical, but the true adventure begins beneath the surface. Fuvahmulah is famously known as the home of tiger sharks, with nearly guaranteed encounters in their habitat. But that’s only the beginning. With a bit of luck, divers may also witness: *Thresher sharks *Hammerhead sharks *Oceanic manta rays *Giant trevallies, barracudas, and other pelagics This is a place where anything can happen—a wild and pristine underwater world that feels untouched and unpredictable. Add to that a visit to a culturally rich and geographically unique island, and you have the ultimate Maldivian tiger shark experience, either snorkeling, freediving or diving with them.
