I shipped a number of updates to make the site more reliable in case anything goes down (it may have been down for ~48 hours last week 😅), and set up main blog posts for each program that detail how their auctions work, along with historical data as to what they close for and the average # of bids per item (I’m a data nerd, what can I say).

This week I'm handing you the keys to the arena. Forget watching from the cheap seats - the theme is fan-in-the-game access: grounds-crew shifts, executive lunches, pitch time, and (even more) World Cup seats (go Norway!) that stick you right inside the action.

And if all that sounds sweaty and exhausting (I get it), there's a spa-and-dinner splurge and a Rolling Stone residency for folks who'd rather watch from the sidelines. Something for everyone, I hope!

Notable closes this week

FIFA fever showed no sign of cooling - the Match 104 Final closed at a staggering 2,100,000 points, while a Visa-backed pair of World Cup tickets drew 23 bids to land at 568,000. Not a soccer person? A Wrexham-vs-Liverpool trip to New York also wrapped up at 425,000.

New: Main program posts on the blog (with data!)

On the blog, you can find detailed “how does X program work” posts that describe the bidding process and any quirks of the program itself - helpful if you’ve never bid on, say, a Delta or Marriott auction before. It includes some historical data on the items as well, like average number of bids, average ending bid amount, etc. - useful to triangulate as to if what you’re bidding on is a good use of points.
