Cricket Hospitality With Points: Lord's to the T20 Cup

There are two ways to get into big cricket with loyalty points instead of cash, and they work nothing alike. Marriott Bonvoy runs points auctions on tournament hospitality, where you bid Bonvoy points against other members and the top bid wins. Emirates Skywards runs a fixed-price shop, where county matchdays at Emirates Old Trafford carry a set Miles number and you simply buy. This post covers both routes, using PointAuctions.com's own closed-auction records rather than estimates, and points you at what is live right now.
If points auctions are new to you, the mechanics live in our guide to how points auctions work. Otherwise, read on.
Route 1: Marriott Bonvoy and the ICC
Marriott Bonvoy is the official accommodation partner of the International Cricket Council, a multi-year deal that runs through 2029 and is framed by the ICC around its men's events (ICC announcement, rechecked August 2026). Separately from that accommodation tie-up, Marriott runs cricket hospitality auctions on its Moments platform, where members bid points on packages money cannot easily buy. If Moments itself is unfamiliar, we broke down all three of its formats in what is Marriott Bonvoy Moments, and you can see the whole program on our Marriott Bonvoy pillar.
The clearest recent example is the ICC Women's T20 World Cup, which England hosted from 12 June to 5 July 2026 across seven grounds, with the final at Lord's in London (Australia won it, a record seventh title). Marriott ran hospitality auctions on individual matches throughout, and we captured how they closed.
Across that tournament we logged 52 auctions that closed with a post-close-verified winning bid, spanning five host cities. The language matters here: verified means we confirmed the winning number after the auction ended, not just the last bid we happened to see. On that basis, here is what the marquee dates cleared at.
• The Lord's final drew the most competition of any single lot: a two-ticket final package closed at a verified 135,000 Bonvoy points after 11 bids. A separate final listing also cleared at a verified 210,000 points, though on a single bid.
• The semi-finals cleared at a verified 120,000 and 115,000 points.
• Group-stage matches were far cheaper. A verified England versus Sri Lanka opener at Edgbaston in Birmingham closed at 120,000 points on seven bids, but plenty of weekday group games with real winners cleared in the 50,000 to 95,500 range, and many two-ticket and four-ticket sub-packages settled at just 2,500 to 7,500 points.
A Marriott Moments bid is a binding commitment, not a wishlist entry. The moment you are the high bidder at close, those Bonvoy points are spoken for. Only bid a number you are content to spend, and remember the winning bid is deducted in points, so the seat is never truly free.
The takeaway is the one our data keeps repeating: finals and marquee fixtures get bid up, and the quiet midweek group games are where a patient member steals a seat. It helps to keep the scale in mind. The median winning bid across every Marriott sports auction we have verified sits near 305,000 points points, but that figure is dragged upward by pricier lots like Formula 1 paddocks and marquee football suites. Cricket sits at the affordable end of that category: the marquee Lord's final cleared at 135,000 points and midweek group games ran far cheaper still. Here is the full distribution of verified Marriott sports closes, self-updating as new auctions settle.

Note also that near-identical titles here are separate lots. Marriott posted the same fixture as two-ticket and four-ticket packages, often numbered Pkg 1 through Pkg 4, and each was its own biddable listing rather than a duplicate.

Route 2: Emirates Skywards at Emirates Old Trafford
The second route is a different animal. Emirates Skywards Exclusives is a fixed-price shop, not an auction house, and one of its standing categories is county cricket at Emirates Old Trafford in Manchester, the home of Lancashire County Cricket Club since 1864. The ground took the Emirates name in a naming-rights deal from 2013, which creates a useful search collision worth flagging: type "Emirates Old Trafford" and you want the cricket ground, not Manchester United's football stadium a couple of miles away.
Because these are buy-now listings, there is no bidding and no winning bid to verify. Each ticket is listed at a set Miles price, and you either take it or you do not. As of August 2026, the live Lancashire single tickets we track sit between 1,000 and 1,500 Skywards Miles apiece for premium general admission, covering County Championship dates against sides like Gloucestershire and Durham, plus Lancashire Thunder white-ball fixtures. Earlier closed listings from the spring, including doubleheaders and a Roses fixture against Yorkshire, had been listed higher, up to 6,500 Miles. Those are catalog prices we observed, not auction results.
For newcomers to that program, our full walkthrough is what is Emirates Skywards Exclusives. It is one of the cheaper marketplaces to actually use, with cricket entry priced in four figures of Miles rather than the five and six figures Marriott's tournament lots command.
Cricket lots live right now
Here is what is currently available on the Emirates side, self-updating as listings open and close. Emirates cricket is seasonal, so this block is often quiet between county fixtures.
When the Emirates shelf is bare, the Marriott auction side almost never is. These are the most recent verified sports closes on Marriott's Moments platform, cricket and beyond.
And a running count across the whole sports category, which folds in cricket alongside football, tennis and motorsport: there are 362 sports listings live across the programs we track.
What to expect next
We only forecast patterns our own data supports, so here is what the two routes suggest for the rest of the cricket calendar.
On the Emirates side, the Lancashire fixed-price catalog refreshes across the English county season, so expect single tickets to keep appearing at Emirates Old Trafford through late summer, with the occasional higher-priced doubleheader. On the Marriott side, the through-2029 ICC partnership means tournament hospitality is a recurring theme rather than a one-off, and our records already show Marriott listing packages tied to marquee ICC fixtures. When the next major event's auctions open, the same shape should hold: finals bid into six figures of points, midweek group games far cheaper. Never miss a cricket lot
Marriott cricket auctions open and close on Moments' own schedule, and the good midweek seats close quietly. A free alert watches for you so you do not have to refresh.
Frequently asked questions
Can you use points or miles for cricket hospitality?
Yes, through two different loyalty routes. Marriott Bonvoy runs points auctions on ICC tournament hospitality via its Moments platform, and Emirates Skywards sells fixed-price county cricket tickets at Emirates Old Trafford through Skywards Exclusives. One is a bidding contest, the other a set price.
How many points did the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026 packages cost?
In our verified close data, the Lord's final two-ticket package cleared at 135,000 Bonvoy points on 11 bids, semi-finals cleared around 115,000 to 120,000 points, and quieter group-stage games settled anywhere from a few thousand points up to about 95,500. Numbers vary by fixture and by how many members bid.
Is Emirates Old Trafford a cricket ground or a football stadium?
It is a cricket ground in Manchester, home of Lancashire County Cricket Club, renamed under an Emirates naming-rights deal from 2013. It is easy to confuse with Manchester United's football ground of the same base name, so searches for cricket tickets should specify the fixture.
Are the Emirates cricket prices auction results?
No. Emirates Skywards Exclusives lists these tickets at fixed Miles prices, so there is no bidding and no winning bid. The figures we quote are the listed Miles prices we observed, not auction closes.
