Premier League matchdays, tennis general admission in Munich and Rome, county cricket at Emirates Old Trafford, an afternoon at Dubai Ice Rink. What Skywards Exclusives actually is
Skywards Exclusives is the experiences storefront of Emirates Skywards, the loyalty program shared by Emirates and flydubai. Anyone can browse the site, but you need a Skywards account to buy or bid, and joining Skywards is free. Two eligibility wrinkles from Emirates' own FAQ worth knowing before you get attached to a lot: Skysurfers accounts (the children's program) cannot participate, and in My Family points-pooling households it is the family head who can transact.
The inventory leans hard on Emirates' sponsorship portfolio. In the window we have tracked, that has meant football tickets around clubs Emirates sponsors, such as Benfica and Olympique Lyonnais, tennis general admission across Munich, Miami, Rome, and London, Lancashire cricket at Emirates Old Trafford, and a rotating set of Dubai attractions like Reel Cinemas Platinum Suites and KidZania. Under the hood the site runs on the same auction engine as United's MileagePlus Exclusives, so if you have used United's marketplace, the mechanics here will feel familiar.
Two formats: Buy Now and auctions
Everything on Skywards Exclusives is one of two things, and the difference matters.
Buy Now is fixed price. The lot has a set cost in Skywards Miles and sells first come, first served; per Emirates' FAQ, the Miles are deducted immediately once you confirm. We classify these as Buy It Now (BIN) listings, the same as any non-auction listing we track. In the stretch we have followed the platform, Buy Now has dominated: nearly everything we have logged, from cricket tickets to Premier League general admission, was fixed price.
Auctions are the competitive format. You bid Skywards Miles against other members, the highest bid at close wins, and Miles are deducted automatically only if you win. Auctions appear occasionally rather than constantly; we have recorded exactly two so far (more on those below).
Either way, Emirates is blunt about finality: "All Buy now transactions and winning bids are final." A Buy Now click deducts Miles on the spot, and a winning bid is a real commitment. There is no cooling-off period and no self-service cancellation, so treat every confirm button as spending Miles you cannot get back.
How the bidding works
The load-bearing rules, from Emirates' own Skywards Exclusives FAQ (mechanics confirmed as of July 2026):
• Bids move by a stated increment, set per lot. Your bid must beat the current highest bid by at least the bid increment shown on the listing. Treat the number on the specific lot as authoritative.
• You can set a maximum bid and let the system work. The maximum bid feature bids on your behalf in increments, up to your stated ceiling, and keeps your maximum confidential. Standard proxy bidding: set your true limit once, early, and stop watching.
• Bids are final. Once confirmed, a bid cannot be withdrawn, lowered, or cancelled. A bid placed "just to see" is a real commitment if it wins.
• The 60-second extension blunts sniping. A bid placed in the last 60 seconds of an auction extends the close by another 60 seconds from that bid. It is a shorter anti-snipe window than the five-minute versions some hotel programs use, but the lesson is the same: a last-second raid mostly buys everyone another minute. An honest maximum entered early is the better play.
• Winning is automatic. If you hold the highest bid at close, the Miles come out of your Skywards account automatically. Lose, and nothing is deducted.

What it costs
This is where Skywards Exclusives stands out among the programs we track: the fixed-price side is genuinely cheap. These are listed fixed prices from our own tracking, verified as of July 2026 (Buy Now amounts, not verified auction closes):

• County cricket from 1,000 Miles. Lancashire matchday tickets at Emirates Old Trafford have listed between 1,000 and 6,500 Miles. These are some of the lowest point prices we have seen on any listing anywhere.
• Dubai attractions at 4,000 to 5,000 Miles. Dubai Ice Rink and KidZania day passes at 4,000, Reel Cinemas Platinum Suites at 5,000.
• Tennis general admission from 8,500 to 25,000 Miles. BMW Open sessions in Munich ran 8,500 to 15,000; a London ATP event listed at 20,000 to 25,000 per session.
• Football from 10,000 to 35,000 Miles. Benfica general admission at 10,000 (VIP seats at 20,000), Olympique Lyonnais at 10,000 to 17,500, and a Chelsea vs Manchester City general admission ticket at 35,000.
One reading-the-page note: near-identical titles are separate lots. Two "Lancashire vs Gloucestershire" tickets are two different fixtures on different dates, not a duplicate. Always check the event date and description on the specific listing.
The auctions we have verified
A transparency note first: our Emirates archive is very young. The platform has run mostly fixed-price inventory in the window we have tracked, and we have exactly two closed auctions on the books. Both, though, carry verified final prices, meaning we confirmed the result after close rather than freezing whatever bid we last saw.
Both were mascot experiences for the same Chelsea vs Manchester City match in May 2026, one in the Chelsea section and one in the Manchester City section. They are two separate lots despite the near-identical titles, and each sold for a verified 80,000 Skywards Miles. For scale, general admission to the same fixture listed at 35,000 Miles fixed price, so the money-can't-buy experience cleared at a bit over double the plain ticket.

In our tracking, Emirates is overwhelmingly a fixed-price marketplace, so the auctions that do appear tend to be the money-can't-buy standouts rather than the everyday tickets. Funding it from the US
Skywards is a transfer partner of several US transferable-points currencies, but the ratios have been eroding. As of July 2026: Bilt still transfers at 1:1, while Citi moved to 5:4, Amex to 5:4, and Capital One to 4:3, and Chase dropped Emirates entirely in late 2025. Verify the ratio in your bank's transfer portal before you move anything, and remember the inventory itself skews toward the UK, Europe, and Dubai, so for US members most of these lots only make sense wrapped around a trip you are already planning.
