Wyndham Points at MSG: Rangers Zamboni Rides and Rockettes

When Wyndham Rewards launched its Experiences portal in 2025, it signed a headline partnership with Madison Square Garden Entertainment. That deal did something genuinely unusual in hotel loyalty: it put MSG's live-event venues onto a points-redeemable platform for the first time.
That means Wyndham Rewards members can now bid points to do something rarely seen on a hotel program: ride the Zamboni at a New York Rangers home game. Add the Christmas Spectacular Starring the Radio City Rockettes and concert nights at MSG's venues, all redeemable with Wyndham points. Wyndham is the Official Hotel Loyalty Partner of the New York Rangers (Wyndham press release, 2025), so the hockey side is where the marquee experiences live.
No other hotel loyalty program we track has this kind of access to MSG's venues. If you're new to this corner of the hobby, it's worth a minute on how point auctions actually work first, and Wyndham's full experiential playbook lives on our Wyndham Rewards Experiences guide. Here's what the partnership actually surfaces.
What MSG Entertainment brings to the table
MSG Entertainment controls a specific bundle of New York venues and live-event IP:
• Madison Square Garden, home of the New York Rangers (NHL) and a marquee stop for major concert tours. (The Knicks play here too, but Wyndham's deal is anchored on the Rangers, so the hockey side is what surfaces.)
• Radio City Music Hall, the Rockettes Christmas Spectacular plus concert residencies
• Beacon Theatre, an intimate concert venue
• The Chicago Theatre, also in the MSG Entertainment portfolio
• A note on Sphere: the Las Vegas Sphere is a separate Sphere Entertainment company, not part of this partnership
MSG Entertainment owns these venues; the Rangers and Knicks themselves are a separate company, MSG Sports. Wyndham's partnership is anchored on being the Official Hotel Loyalty Partner of the Rangers, so the team-side access we actually see is hockey, not basketball.
What the partnership tends to surface
Across Wyndham Rewards Experiences, the MSG-linked inventory clusters into a few recurring buckets:
Rangers experiences
• The Zamboni ride during a New York Rangers regular-season home game, paired with two game tickets. This is the marquee lot, the actual ice-resurfacing lap that almost no fan ever gets.
• Straight Rangers game tickets, which show up regularly as fixed-point buy-its rather than auctions
Radio City Music Hall
• Tickets to the Christmas Spectacular Starring the Radio City Rockettes, the offer named in Wyndham's launch announcement
Behind-the-scenes access
Beyond straight tickets, Wyndham has run locker-room-access experiences at Madison Square Garden. A Josh Groban locker-room experience at the Garden closed at a verified 75,000 points, which is exactly the kind of behind-the-scenes access this partnership opens up. These are the lots to watch for, because access is what's hard to buy any other way.
Concert access
MSG and Radio City host major tour stops, and Wyndham regularly lists concert tickets for them. These come and go with the touring calendar, so they're less predictable than the Rangers game-ticket drops. What these cost in points
Wyndham hasn't published a fixed price for the Zamboni lot. It runs as a point auction, and we don't have a clearing price for it yet. For reference, here is what the program publishes and what we actually track (program-published ranges as of September 2026; auction closes are our verified data, refreshed monthly):
| What it is | Points | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Auction starting bids (Experiences) | 20,000 to 100,000 | Wyndham-published |
| Fixed-point rewards, from | 2,500 | Wyndham-published |
| Rangers game tickets (fixed-point buy-its) | ~20,000 to 40,000 | last observed |
| Verified entertainment closes, typical | 30,000 to 75,000 points | PointAuctions verified |
| Verified entertainment closes, median | 37,500 points | PointAuctions verified |
| Verified entertainment closes tracked | 122 | PointAuctions verified |
Most MSG and Radio City concert tickets cluster around 40,000 points, with the biggest non-suite acts running past 100,000. Suite lots sit well above that: the priciest MSG item we've tracked is Harry Styles suite nights at Madison Square Garden, which cleared at a verified 155,000 points at the top of a run that also saw 140,000- and 100,000-point closes.
Median: 37,500 points

The marquee experiences, the Zamboni ride and any Rockettes backstage access, are new and have not produced a verified clearing price yet. Any number attached to them is an estimate, not something we've observed, so don't anchor a bid to it. Once you place a bid on Wyndham Experiences it is binding, so bid what the access is worth to you, not what a guessed "market rate" implies. We'll swap the real Zamboni figure in here the moment a lot actually closes.
For how Wyndham's closing prices stack up against every other program, see the closed-auction data by program.
Wyndham points clear around 0.8 to 1.0 cpp on hotel redemptions. Take that verified 155,000-point Harry Styles suite night: if you value two suite seats at roughly $1,500 to $2,000, that's about 1.0 to 1.3 cpp, in line with or a touch above that hotel-redemption baseline. In our tracking, the lots that beat hotel value are consistently the ones with hard-to-buy access, like the Zamboni ride, not the straight ticket lots. Our cents per point guide has the full framework, and as always, treat any cpp here as a sanity-check range rather than a precise valuation.
Why this is Wyndham-specific
MSG Entertainment is famously careful about its partnerships. The venues have limited VIP inventory, closely guarded access tiers, and a long history of selling high-end experiences through corporate and celebrity channels rather than retail. A hotel loyalty partnership of this scope is genuinely unusual.
The closest analog is Marriott's Manchester United partnership, which concluded after the 2024-25 Premier League season. Beyond that, no other hotel program we track has a comparable MSG venue tie-up. Hilton's concert access runs through different partners and venues, and IHG, Hyatt and Choice don't surface MSG inventory at all. Wyndham's other standout experiential play is its Wyndham Championship Pro-Am, the only way to play a PGA Tour event on hotel points.
For New York sports fans with hotel points, Wyndham Rewards is now a legitimate conversation.
Timing patterns
MSG content cycles through the year:
• October to April (NHL season): Rangers experiences are most active, and Zamboni rides peak around signature games (Winter Classic, rivalries)
• November to early January: the Christmas Spectacular Starring the Radio City Rockettes dominates the Radio City auction slate
• Spring and summer: concert residencies and tour stops generate listings on a less predictable cadence
Strategic considerations
A few realities about Wyndham MSG bidding:
1. New York-local members have a massive edge. These experiences happen on specific dates at specific venues in Manhattan. Out-of-market bidders are paying for travel and lodging on top of the points redemption.
2. Point balances are the limiter, not bid competition. Wyndham's average member balance is lower than Marriott's or Hilton's, and in our tracking Wyndham auctions are lightly contested (most clear with only a handful of bids). A six-figure winning bid on Wyndham is a bigger proportional commitment than the equivalent on Bonvoy.
3. Partnership scope could expand. MSG Entertainment runs multiple venues, and what's listed today may not be the full surface area. If new lot types show up, this is the partnership we'd expect them on.
The bottom line
Wyndham Rewards isn't the loyalty program most points-and-miles content focuses on. But the MSG Entertainment partnership is doing something genuinely unusual in the category, delivering points-redeemable access to iconic New York venues nobody else in hotel loyalty has a path to.
For Rangers fans and MSG-event regulars, this is the one Wyndham angle worth the attention.
