In Q3 2026 the median point auction close at Marriott Bonvoy Moments, the busiest program, was 87,500 Marriott points across 820 closes, against 220,000 Hilton Honors points at Hilton and 50,000 Avios at Qatar Airways. Across 12 loyalty programs we count 1,577 priced closes between July 1 and September 30, and 1,438 of them (91.2%) are verified finals rather than the last bid we saw. The largest was Hilton's McLaren Mastercard F1 Team Sunday Race VIP Experience at the Singapore Grand Prix, verified at 2,065,500 Hilton Honors points. Every figure in this report is as of October 18, 2026.

PointAuctions.com tracks auction closes across the programs we follow, and this report puts one quarter of them on a single basis, explained in the method box below. To bid rather than read history, each program's live slate is on its hub (start with the live Marriott Bonvoy Moments auctions, the busiest program by volume). Every open auction across all of them is in one search on PointAuctions.com, soonest-closing first.

How we count

  • Window: auctions whose close we recorded between July 1 and September 30, 2026 (UTC).
  • A close counts when it carries a price we can stand behind. That means a verified final, the price the program confirmed after the auction ended. Where we could not verify one, it means the last bid we saw before close on an auction with at least one recorded bid.
  • Left out: auctions that ended with no bid, closes we could not confirm that showed no bid, and teasers that never opened for bidding.
  • Also left out: closes verified at their opening ask with no bid, a price nobody bid (4 Marriott, 2 Accor). We also leave out 3 Qatar Airways closes whose bid status Qatar's own price feed could not confirm. One of them is the FIFA World Cup 26 Final package verified at 2,100,000 Avios on July 9, 2026, which is why we do not quote it as Qatar's or the quarter's biggest close.
  • Accor: we also leave out any Accor verified final below a bid we saw live. Accor readings from before August 3, 2026 are a known recording fault (a record number stored in place of the bid), so we do not treat them as bids. On that basis this rule removed no closes this quarter.
  • Hilton and IHG: we have no bid count recorded for either in Q3, and no stored opening ask for all but one Hilton close, so the opening-ask test above cannot run on them. All 92 of their closes (Hilton 69, IHG 23) are included; 22 of them (Hilton 10, IHG 12) rest on a single price reading equal to the final.
  • "Median close" pools verified finals and last-seen bids, and the Verified column shows the mix for each program.
  • A last-seen bid is a floor. Of the 1,402 Q3 verified closes where we also hold the last bid we saw, 640 (46%) finished higher. Our late-bidding analysis measured the same share over a different, longer set of closes from mid-February to early September 2026, so the two figures are not directly comparable.
  • Every figure stays in its program's own currency, with no conversion to cash. The full process is in how we verify closing prices.

What did each program close at in Q3 2026?

Programs with at least 10 priced closes in the quarter, largest first. Typical range is the middle half of closes (25th to 75th percentile).

Each program's points are its own currency (Qatar Airways prices in Avios), so read each median within its own row, never across rows. The bid column counts bids, not bidders, and only on priced closes: auctions that ended with no bid are not in it. Those are many. Wyndham confirmed that 77 of its 198 Q3 auctions ended with no bid, and Marriott confirmed 72 of its 963. We have no bid counts recorded for Hilton or IHG in Q3, though our Q2 data carries them for most Hilton closes, so treat that as a recording gap, not a sign of light bidding. Alaska shows n/a because the bid counts we hold for it are derived rather than published by the platform. United's average covers the 30 of its 41 closes with a recorded count, and Qatar's covers 77 of 78.

Delta gets two rows because its evidence changed mid-quarter. Every Delta close in this report from August 20 to September 30 (86 of them) carries a verified final from our close watch. The 95 Delta closes before August 20 are the last bid we saw, which is a floor. Pooled, Delta's 181 closes have a median close of 154,000 miles. Alaska's row is mostly verified: 15 of its 17 closes are verified finals.

Hilton's 220,000 covers Q3 only. Our post on what wins a Hilton Honors Experience gives a 240,000-point median taken across every verified Hilton close in our archive (monthly figures, as of October 18, 2026). Likewise, our Avios closing prices for Qatar Privilege Club Collection auctions covers every verified Qatar close since tracking began, while the 50,000 Avios here is Q3 alone.

Two programs closed fewer than 10 priced auctions, too few for a median: World of Hyatt FIND Experiences with 8 closes (all last seen) and Emirates Skywards Experiences with 5 (all verified). Programs such as AAdvantage, Flying Blue and Virgin Red sell their experiences at fixed prices, so they have no closing prices to report.

What was the biggest point auction close in Q3 2026?

Formula 1 hospitality took four of the top five places, through Hilton's McLaren packages and Marriott's Mercedes-AMG packages. The ranking below orders raw numbers from different programs, whose points are not worth the same, so treat it as a list of headline results rather than a comparison.

  1. 2,065,500 Hilton Honors points, the McLaren Mastercard F1 Team Sunday Race VIP Experience at the Singapore Grand Prix, closed August 21. Verified final.
  2. 2,020,000 Hilton Honors points, a Waldorf Astoria New York tennis experience with a two-night stay, billed as a Hilton Honors American Express Card Member exclusive, closed August 10. Verified final.
  3. 2,020,000 Hilton Honors points, the McLaren Mastercard F1 Team Sunday race experience at the Spanish Grand Prix in Madrid, closed July 30. Verified final.
  4. 1,900,000 Marriott points, the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team Paddock Club on race day at the Singapore Grand Prix, plus a two-night stay, closed September 23. Verified final: sold for 1,900,000 Marriott points after 58 bids.
  5. 1,640,000 Hilton Honors points, the McLaren Mastercard F1 Team Saturday sprint and qualifying package at the same Singapore Grand Prix, closed August 21. Verified final.

Qatar Airways' largest quotable close was two 3-day Paddock Club tickets with three hotel nights at the United States Grand Prix in Austin, sold for 1,475,000 Avios after 14 bids on September 26. Delta's largest close was a last-seen figure from before the close watch: a 4-night Malta trip with round-trip Delta One airfare closed at 1,511,000 miles on July 30, and the winning bid may have been higher.

More on these packages is in F1 tickets and Paddock Club auctions with points. Hilton's live slate is on its Hilton Honors Experiences hub, and its record of ended auctions sits at closed Hilton Honors auctions. Open Grand Prix auctions are one search away.

Which point auctions drew the most bids in Q3 2026?

The five most-bid auctions in this report, each with its close date and the kind of price behind it:

  • 203 bids: Marriott's Paddock Club Saturday + 2-Night Hotel Stay, package 2, at the Singapore Grand Prix, closed September 24. Verified final: sold for 1,627,500 Marriott points.
  • 167 bids: Marriott's Paddock Club Friday + 2-Night Hotel Stay, package 2, at the same race, closed September 25. Verified final: sold for 1,137,061 Marriott points.
  • 147 bids: Delta's 7-day culinary and cultural tour of Lisbon and Porto, closed July 23. Last seen: closed at 551,000 miles, and 147 is the last bid count we saw, so both are floors.
  • 141 bids: Marriott's Mercedes-AMG Silver Arrows Lounge on race day in Madrid, closed August 19. Verified final: sold for 1,472,500 Marriott points.
  • 138 bids: Marriott's Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team package at Monza with a hotel stay, closed August 12. Verified final: sold for 1,252,500 Marriott points.

The Singapore Paddock Club Saturday packages make two points. First, the same title does not mean the same auction. Package 1 drew 106 bids and sold for 1,552,500 Marriott points; package 2 drew 203 bids and sold for 1,627,500. Second, a last-seen bid can sit well below the final. Our last check of package 2 before it closed, 19 minutes earlier, still showed 1,135,000 Marriott points, and the verified final was 1,627,500. That is why we label every last-seen figure a floor. Programs differ in how their auctions close; see how each program's closing works, where it is published.

Which closes sold low but still drew bids?

These are verified finals with at least one recorded bid, each among the lowest such sales in its program. Points differ by program, so read each one against its own program's median in the table above.

  • 1,000 Avios: two general admission tickets plus a training session viewing for FC Internazionale Milano vs Juventus at Optus Stadium in Perth, sold after 6 bids on July 21. FC Internazionale Milano vs AC Milan in the same series sold for 1,100 Avios after 5 bids.
  • 5,000 Marriott points: three separate packages for a fitness and culture experience in Bangkok's Thong Lor district, each sold with a single bid on August 10.
  • 7,500 Wyndham Rewards points: two packages for a Shaky Knees pre-festival party with a private acoustic set by GoldFord, each sold with a single bid on September 2.
  • 10,000 Choice Privileges points: two packages for a dinner with NASCAR driver Ross Chastain, sold on August 31 after 2 bids and 1 bid respectively.

Which programs drew the fewest bids per auction?

Among programs with at least 10 priced closes, average bids per priced close ranged from 41.7 at Delta and 20.4 at Marriott down to 3.0 at Wyndham, with Accor at 7.0 and Choice at 7.6. Wyndham's 3.0 leaves out its no-bid closes: of its 198 Q3 auctions, Wyndham confirmed 77 ended with no bid, another 36 ended with no bid recorded that we could not confirm, and 3 were teasers that never opened. A low average does not promise a low price, but it does mean fewer bids to beat, which is the idea behind our guide to uncontested point auctions. Live auctions with no bids yet are one filter away.

How did Q3 medians compare with Q2 2026?

We recomputed Q2 2026 (April 1 to June 30) on the same basis. We compared only programs with at least 10 priced closes in both quarters and at least 95% verified finals in both, so the price evidence behind each median is the same kind.

The Marriott and Qatar drops come from the World Cup. FIFA World Cup packages (World Cup in the title or description) made up 336 of Marriott's 1,080 Q2 closes but 4 of its 820 in Q3, and 85 of Qatar's 162 in Q2 against 3 of 78 in Q3. Without the World Cup closes, the Marriott median rose from 60,250 to 87,500 Marriott points, and Qatar's from 36,000 to 45,000 Avios. Two quarters on a changed listing mix give a direction to watch, not a trend. Two more cautions apply:

  • Some closes changed status in early October. Six closes now read as ended with no bid, after the platforms' own price feeds showed nobody had bid: four from Q2 (three Qatar Airways, one United) and two from Q3 (both Qatar Airways). Both quarters above already reflect that, so they compare like for like, but a Q2 figure computed before October sat on a slightly different set of closes.
  • Four programs are left out because their evidence changed. Delta went from no verified finals in Q2 to 48% in Q3. Accor went from 75% to 95% verified, and 64 of its Q2 priced closes are dated June 12, the day of a data cleanup, not the day each auction ended. Wyndham went from 87% to 73% verified, and IHG from 82% to 100%. Alaska, World of Hyatt and Emirates had too few closes to compare.
